Nice. I actually did something like this with my Line 6 DL 4, it has a easy adjustment for tap tempo, but I had a song where I was coming in and out of the delay, and I didn't want to burn a preset for that single song. Solution was a TB strip with that in the loop.

KP77 this solution really works for those those already have a pedal like this. You could even build a single loop switch yourself for not too much cash if you needed! But yeah if you like the DD6 and have the cash, upgrade to a DD7 with an external tap.

If you like BOSS pedals, the new DD-7 has an input for an external momentary pedal so you can use it to tap the tempo. Otherwise have also thought the same thoughts as you. I have a Hardwire(digitec) delay. I bought it over the DD-7 because the dry signal remains analog trough the pedal, no AD/DA converts involved.

Thanks for mentioning RiffWorks. It would be fun to hear something you've recorded using it.

Great idea! This arrangement solves a myriad of signal switching jungle running. I have a Digitech that has a vacuum switch that just doesn't cut it for in the fly taptemp(even though it says that's what it's for?). the simple but 100% effective hook up above solves it and my frustration!

I've had the shape shifter on my board for a little over 2 months. I enjoy the control of this pedal...from sine-wave mellow to square wave chop. The tap-tempo is what sold me. Set the rate at 4:1 (16th) and the square wave with some distortion behind it...then controlled with a volume pedal after the Shape Shifter...awesome rhythmic effects. And yes, the buttons are loud.
