I just started a new blog to talk specifically about music and being a musician. Not specifically about guitar or effects, but I can’t say those topics will be off limits
Check it out at
http://ds-al-coda.blogspot.com/
I called it DS al Coda, because in music the DS as Coda gives us direction where to go next. Not surprisingly, where to go next is something that faces a lot of us who aspire to be the best musician we can be. So stop on by and check it out. Subscribe with your rss reader or whatever. Just enjoy and feel free to comment. I want to hear your opinions on the topics I write as well.

Ok everyone, I try not to blow a lot of smoke around here, so hear me when I say, head on over to http://fundamentalelements.bandcamp.com/ and take a listen to This Moment, the new EP from Fundamental Elements. They are a band with a fresh sound coming out of St. Louis. This album is all about taking the chances you were made to take. I can’t get enough of it!
You can stream it from the site, and if you like it, you can download it for $5.

A couple of weeks ago they were in need of a fill in guitar player for a weekend of gigs, and I had the pleasure of hitting the road with them for 3 dates. Wow, these 4 guys are some of the most solid players I’ve had the pleasure of playing with. Mark DeJaynes and Luke DeJaynes (Bass and Drums) lay down a solid rhythm section, with Dustin Burggraaf layering some sweet keys on top. Then top that off with Russ Mohr’s smooth vocals and you have some great music you don’t mind putting on repeat. While you are on their site, you can also hear tracks from their previous album The Cycle We’re Living In which is a more guitar driven album than this EP and just as awesome. Either way you won’t be disappointed.
So seriously, I would appreciate if you headed over there and checked them out. It’s musicians like this that make me want to keep making music!
Thanks everyone and keep looking for that killer tone!
